How does FOUR touchdowns sound????

Here’s the recap of Friday night’s game…David scored 4 touchdowns and played a GREAT game! The article says we “escaped” with a win…I don’t think they saw the same game I saw! We play at home this Friday at 7:00pm if you’re in town! Come and join us! 🙂

Congrats David!

Jacksonville Christian 42, Skyline 34
STEPHENSON — Thanks to three missed extra points, Jacksonville Christian escaped with a 42-34 win against Skyline in a see-saw affair.

The Vikings opened the scoring with a 2-yard run, but missed the extra point.
The Thunder (2-3) responded with a long kickoff return by Peyton Green, then scored on a David Parris 3-yard run, giving the Thunder a 7-6 lead.
Skyline came back with a 76-yard run and a two-point conversion before the end of the first, quarter but JCA tied the game on a 14-yard scoring pass from Stephen Hurst to Parris.
The Vikings regained the lead on a 7-yard run, but missed another extra point before the half. Hurst threw another touchdown pass, this one to Matt Crook from 16 yards out, making the score 21-20. But before the bands hit the field, Parris picked off an option pitch and returned it 35 yards, padding JCA’s lead.
To start the second half, the Thunder took the opening kickoff and scored on a 10-yard run by Green. Skyline refused to buckle, scoring on a 4-yard run and tacking on a two-point conversion, cutting the lead to 35-28.
The Vikings nearly tied the game on a 1-yard run, but a third missed PAT proved costly.
JCA then milked the clock and tacked on an insurance score, a 7-yard run from Parris.

Until next time,
Jenifer
