Ok folks, I have a question…what is up with you guys that don’t blog? I’m not talking about whether or not you blog…entirely up to you. I’m talking about the seeming disdain for those of us who DO. Enough with the eye rolling and smirks already…does the fact that I blog or follow other blogs adversely affect your life? Nah…don’t think so.
What gets me the most is if I share about someone that I am praying for and you ask questions in an attempt to clarify who I am talking about. I don’t mind the questions themselves, just the attitude emanating from your face when I say it is someone from a blog I follow.
What difference does it make how I know of their prayer need? What matters is that I, along with others are lifting them up to our Savior and petitioning for healing on their behalf.
Would you want others to lift up YOUR child’s name to the Father if they were lying in a hospital bed fighting for their life like Stellan?
What if, after an uneventful pregnancy, your minutes-old newborn was airlifted to the nearest children’s hospital with a grim prognosis like Kelly’s little one, Harper? Would you want someone to join you as a prayer warrior for your child?
God’s Word tells me
-in James 5:16 that “The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.”
-in Mark 11:24 that “whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours.”
-and in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to “pray continually.”
Why WOULDN’T I lift up ANY prayer need that was brought to my attention, no matter how I heard about it? Know too, that even though you may not be a blogger or blog reader, should I hear of a need in your family, I will lift them up as well. God calls me to do so. Who’s on your prayer list?
