Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?

Not that “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?”…I’m talking dinner at our house…

OK, well maybe not dinner…but I was cooking dinner while they were here…does that count?

If you wonder if God desires for things to work to our good, here you go:

  • I call Bryan, after work today because he is running late…
  • I call all three phones and get no answer…starting to worry (I never do that)…
  • He calls me back in a few minutes and says that he stopped to help one of David’s classmates change a flat tire…
  • As they are changing the tire, David drives by and the friend points it out to Bryan…Bryan did not know what vehicle David normally drives…
  • Bryan finishes with tire and begins to drive home…
  • Sees David pulled over on the side of the road by a police officer…
  • Decides to stop a little way down the road and wait for David to see if he’ll stop…
  • David and Will drive by, turn around and come back…
  • Chat with Bryan a few minutes and he invites them to come by…thinking it will never happen…
  • Bryan calls me to say he is on his way home as I hear someone coming up the drive…
  • I know it is too soon to be Bryan, take a look only to find that it’s David and Will…

God is good, all the time!
Until next time,
