Tell Me It Ain’t So…………….

Today my “baby” girl is FIVE!!!!  Oh my…how the time has flown by.  Seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital.  She is such a joy to us!  In so many ways, she is Bryan and I made over!  So strange how you begin to see yourselves in your children…

On Saturday we had a great “Pinkalicious Party” for Ellie’s birthday!  Here’s a peek into her day…

Ready for the party!

Ellie’s Pinkalicious Cupcakes…just like in the book!
The new book…”Goldilicious”!
Ellie’s very own Pinkalicious doll!
Ellie was ready to party in her perfect Pinkalicious tutu from Mrs. Christie!

Ellie, you are such a little princess. You love any and everything pink, you are a wonderful mommy to your little babies, especially “Ashley” your Bitty Baby.  You take great care of her.  You are a fabulous big sister.  You love Ethan and Ruby Kate and always help Mommy take care of things for them.  You are a great helper!  You are also a great little sister!  You always see the best in your big brothers and love them unconditionally.

Mommy and Daddy try hard to learn to love as you do.  With all your heart.  You are such a precious example of how God wants us to love.

You are such a sponge! You love to learn about everything, you always ask LOTS of questions and are not satisfied with a quick and easy answer…you want all the details.

You like things to be done “your way”…I can’t imagine where you must get this from!  😉  You KNOW that your way is the best, so everyone should just follow your lead!

You are very good about being healthy…you almost always make the best food choices and are very concerned with the chemicals around you!  You even went so far as to ask me if I knew there were chemicals in the swimming pool…”why do you let me swim in chemicals” you asked!  You might just grow up and save the world from toxic chemicals and all things un-organic!

You love to learn about Jesus and God and love to go to church.  You get upset if you have to miss for being sick.  Jesus and God are a part of your everyday vocabulary and it warms our hearts.  Mommy and Daddy anxiously await the day that you have a personal relationship with them.  You will be such a light for our Savior!  We can’t wait to see what God does through you!

You are such a  blessing to us and our family.  We can not even remember our life before our “Boo”.  Happy birthday, our sweet Ellie.  We love you!

Until next time,

  1. Happy Birthday Sweet Ellie!!! We love you!
Ellie had told me she was having a “Pinkalicious” party. It looked adorable! I loved the cupcakes!!
We are doing our Pumkin & a Book fundraiser at the school this week. I'm helping with Carlie's class. We are doing none other than “Pinkalicious”!!! You can come buy it for about $5 on Thursday night at our Fall Fest!!!

  2. I love that girl. She is so sweet. When I babysat I saw that what she wants is what she wants. There is no arguing with that one. I see myself in her too. I am so bossy at times. I still tell my own mom what to do. (Fair warning, she probably won't grow out of it. ) I can't believe she is 5! She is so precious. Can't wait to see what she will do when she is in school. Lord help her teachers. They will have a handful. Maybe I will be blessed with having her. If I can get through college fast enough. You have a great little girl. I am sure Ruby Kate will be just as precious once she is old enough to talk and tell you what to do. 🙂
