Our visit to…

the pumpkin patch parking lot!  I say EVERY year we are going to visit a REAL pumpkin patch..you know the one…hayrides, corn mazes, bales of cotton, riding out into a field to choose your very favorite pumpkin…

Yeah…THAT pumpkin patch…

Then LIFE happens…it’s cold, we have a new baby, not enough hours in the day, I’m just plain lazy…you get the idea…

So what do we do?  We head to the Methodist Church to leisurely choose our family pumpkins!  Where else would we go?  I am so grateful that the Methodist Church is kind enough to put this together each year!

There is no crowd to fight, you can stop by on your way to or from somewhere, photo ops just begging you to bring your camera, all right in the middle of town!  No traveling, no packing up the little ones to be gone for HOURS, no meal planning required…

Of course, you have your small, medium, large traditional pumkins…not to mention some unusual options for your purchasing pleasure…

And after you kiss the unchosen pumpkins goodbye, you might could even head on over to the library… maybe to get some joke books…maybe so your two year old could learn some new jokes…so you don’t hear the same one day in and day out…
Knock, knock
Who’s there?
Nobel
Nobel who?
Nobel, that’s why I knocked…

Until next time,

  1. I found your blog through the Alabama Bloggers site. It's nice to find another more local blogger.

I think we'll be hitting up the pumpkin lot with my niece and nephew tomorrow.

I also wanted to let you know that there will be a trick or treat Friday from 4-6 in downtown Piedmont, if your family would like to come. It's sponsored by the local businesses.
